Dear Dr. Maloney,
On MArch 8th, 2006, the Maloney Vision Institute changing my life forever! I can not begin to thank you and your excellent staff enough.
As a wife, mother, and business owner, the last three months have been like nothing I can remember in my lifetime. I had worn glasses and contacts since the age of seven.
Now, I am able to see the clock and check on my daughter in the m iddle of the night, which I could have never done before. To wake up in the morning and not have to put contacts in my eyes or glasses on is a dream. I was told that I am now 20/15 - thank you!
Your service was incredible from the moment I came for my consulatations to the multiple calls I received when I was at home recovering. I commend you and your staff for making me feel so much comfortable and for running such a seamless office.
Sincerely,
A.S

Dear Dr. Maloney,
I am sure you have an Idea just how happy I am with my new vision. Each and every day has been a new experience for me. Just to sit down with a cup of coffee and read the morning paper without having to look for my glasses Is amazing. The care and concern from you and your staff at the vision institute, right from the beginning was wonderful. I honestly did not expect such professional treatment, nor the follow up phone calls from the institute to check on how I was doing. It was a good choice on our part, one which my wife talked me into, to make the trip to Los Angeles and your office.
I want to also send my thanks and appreciation to your technician, Gabriela Quezada. She was through in every aspect of the examination and consultation. She took the time to explain each step and recheck her findings. In doing so she was able to put a lot of my worries to ease. It is reassuring to someone like me that extra care,-before such a critical operation Is undertaken. As you told me “we have no eraser” Both my wife and I wish to express our many thanks for a job well done.
Sincerely,
R.R and S.R

Dear Dr. Maloney,
Cookies and candies get thrown away. Fruit baskets go bad. Flowers die and balloons deflate. All of that is fine because there are not enough flowers on the planet, cookies or candies in a basket, fruit to pick and balloons to blow up that could ever thank you enough for what you and your office have done for me. I’m a simple man who believes that the simple things in life, like a sincere “thank you” from the heart, make all difference in the world.
For the past 15 years I’ve worn contacts and glasses and suffered from moderate myopia. I’ve learned that means I was basically blind without my glasses. I say suffered because it really was a handicap for me to wear glasses and contacts. I’m a very active person but was held back in everyday life and activities by my need for glasses and contacts.
Today I graduated from the Maloney Vision Institute with 20/15 vision! It’s been a little over two months since my procedure and I can honestly say that I have had no problems as a result of your office’s advice and post-operative care. What’s even more remarkable is how my life didn’t even skip a beat as a result of the procedure. I had more discomfort from a bad day in contacts then I did from the entire procedure!
Dr. Maloney, let me say that you’re truly a god among men. As my Mother sat in the operating room with me, it was as if she was handing me over to you as I “traded in” the eyes she had given me almost 30 years ago for the new eyes that you gave me. In a matter of seconds, you became one of the most influential people in my life — right up there with my Mother, my Father and God himself. Let me also say that your staff are amazing people, each and every one of them — Dr. Geis, Wanda, Gabby, Blanka, Tania, and of course Tanya and Scott at the front desk. They are all wonderful people to be around and I commend you on selecting true professionals as well as true people. In closing, let me simply say from the bottom of my heart, “thank you”.
Your forever grateful and humbled patient,
K.A.R

Dr. Maloney and Staff,
I just wanted to thank you for the incredible vision you have given me. My freedom from dependency on contacts and glass opened up a new world of opportunities for me. Being only 24 years old, I am always into the latest and the greatest of technological advancements, however, I still cannot comprehend that it only took a five minute whirl of painless technological magic (and the world’s best laser eye surgeon) to make me go from blind as a bat to seeing nearly perfect. Prior to my procedure, I couldn’t hit a baseball with a guitar if I had one and now….well I still can’t but you are not to blame for my lack of hand-eye coordination!
I went to three other well known LASIK surgeons prior to visiting your office and none of them seemed to provide the level of comfort that you and your staff did. I probably did more research than the average patient and even went as far as researching the type and brand of laser utilized in your office, and by far your office has set the bar for the best possible treatment experience possible. I spent nearly three hours with you and your staff during my initial consultation and asked more questions then any other patient could probably fathom, and every single one of my questions were answered in detail without hesitation. As busy are you were, I was surprised that you made yourself available to me for any concerns I had. You are a truly remarkable doctor and furthermore you are a great human being.
I have already recommended you to scores of people and you are the talk of my office. If any of your prospective patients would like to hear my testimonial, feel free to have them contact me, it’s the least I could do to pay you back, for giving me back my most precious sense.
Sincerely Grateful,
J.I

Dear Dr. Maloney and Staff:
I just wanted to write and thank you for the exceptional care that I received last week from your whole team during my Lasik surgery. 1 came in with vision that had required my wearing glasses my entire life and as you promised, I was able to drive to your office with perfect vision the following morning free of my glasses.
The next evening, I said to my husband:
“So, were you worried before I went in for Lasik that it would be okay?”
He said, “Worry? No. Maloney means no worries.”
So there you go. You and your staff were thorough, gentle, precise, warm and patient. My questions were not only welcome and answered, they were encouraged. I was thrilled by the experience and have already handed out 3 copies of your materials to friends who want to get the procedure done themselves.
Thank you again to your whole team for your excellent care and personalized service. It is most appreciated.
Respectfully yours,
A.L

Dear Dr. Maloney,
I wish to take a moment to formally express my deep appreciation for your thoughtful and personal medical services. As a patient who has participated in one of your studies as well as a follow-up as a lasik patient, I have had the unique opportunity to comment on your staff and our services.
I have received the highest quality of professional care. The surgery has restored my sight to be to read like a twenty year old! But of equal importance is that you, Dr. Ng and your other medical staff provided me with nothing, but-highest personal care. This provided me the confidence to seek this sensitive Lasik medical procedure. In addition, your front desk staff and Pam, your office manager, have provided outstanding customer services to make my experience both professional
and positive.
It has truly been a unique and fortunate experience in having you as my doctor! You run a first class operation! I authorize you to share this correspondence with other potential patients. Thank you and take care my friend.
Sincerely,
A.J.P
Your Patient

Dear Dr. Maloney:
Please forgive the time it has taken me to tell you how marvelous my eyes have been.
During the first few weeks after my surgery last autumn, I was a little worried that I had traded distance vision (which was immediately better than ever in my life, even with glasses) for a good deal of close—up quality-of-life.
But once my eyes had healed, I have been amazed: not only is my distance vision better than it ever was, - but I usually don’t even need my reading glasses!
Thanks to you, I have gone from being someone who almost never took his glasses off to a person who - for everything including stuff like cooking, glancing at the newspaper, etc - never wears glasses. It’s amazing.
Everyone at your office was friendly, helpful, and thoughtful.
And the surgery itself was as quick and painless as possible. The Only unpleasant moment was my own fault: I opted to skip the Valium - and realized during the cutting of my first lens this was probably not a good idea: it was scarier than I thought. But even then, it never hurt and the discomfort was over quickly.
Anyhow: thank you, so much. You have indeed made my daily life better.
Sincerely,
G.G

Dear Dr. Robert Maloney,
I’m sure you must receive dozens of letters every week from patients who have undergone lasik vision correction, raving about the results.
I had my surgery about a week ago, and I can honestly say, this has been nothing short of a miracle for me. After 33 years of wearing glasses and contacts, and finally resorting to bifocals in recent years, I never dreamed I’d be able to function without glasses or contacts.
During my consultation, we concluded that the best approach for my particular needs would be modified monovision. Being able to “preview” the outcome prior to surgery with the use of contact lenses (and also wearing a special contact lens in conjunction with my bifocals) helped to confirm in my mind that this was the best way to go.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. The day after my surgery, my distance vision tested better than 20-20. My mid-range vision, which I had totally lost with the bifocals, is spectacular, and I can even do a fair amount of reading with no reading glasses at all, depending on the type size and the lighting conditions. I knew I would still need reading glasses after the procedure, so that was expected (and I am 58). The pleasant surprise was how much I CAN read without reading glasses!
I also have nothing but excellent praise for your staff. I know you believe in treating your patients like family, and that certainly came across in the way I was treated, not just during my office visits, but also with the follow-up phone calls after my surgery, checking to see how I was doing. And the special touches such as the coffee mug and the delicious cookies that came in the mail added that extra little touch of “home”.
I have been singing your praises to anyone who will listen, and would heartily recommend Maloney Vision Institute to anyone who seriously cares about correcting their vision with the finest Doctor in the field.
You have given me a wonderful gift, Dr. Maloney, by restoring my vision in a way that I never dreamed possible. My only regret, and I’m sure you hear this often, is that I didn’t do it sooner! And since I’ve always believed that a picture speaks a thousand words, I’ve enclosed two pictures that best depict my life “before” and “after” Lasik!
Sincerely,
C.C
